For the first time the AGG will have an exhibit of members' work at the conference site. All members are encouraged to participate, but space
is limited, so reservations must be made by contacting Exhibit Chair, Barbara Krueger by June 15th, 2008 (bek4450@aol.com), tel: 248-887-1283.
Glass panels must be ready for hanging. They cannot be more than 24 inches wide or exceed 400 square inches overall. Small sketches can be
exhibited as stand-alone posters. Members must arrange for hand delivery and pick-up of their panels. The AGG cannot be responsible for any aspect of shipping on either end. Objects are displayed at exhibitors' risk.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #222222"Exhibitors are encouraged to have their piece included in the Whitney Auction. Please think about that and let us know.

Hi Barbara, I would like to participate in the exhibition, so I'd like to reserve a spot. Do you need to know the size right now? If so, I'd say 20" square. Best, Mary

Thanks Mary, and now there are SIX members to exhibit at the AGG conference. Mary Higgins, Saara Gallin, Ellen Mandelbaum, Debora Coombs, Indre McCraw and Barbara Krueger. Remember, it is first come, first served, as there is a limited space the hotel has provided for this exhibition and you must hand deliver your piece to the conference. 24 inches wide, 200 sq inc.

Hello Barbara,
It's wonderful that the Hotel has offered space to exhibit panels. You didn't happen to mention just how many spaces were available, or where exactly they might be displayed. I ask because of lighting, as we all would hope for window / natural lighting. My other concern stems from the well attended conference last year. The display panel in 2007 was very close to the enrty doors of the conference room and often there were quite a few bodies in the crush zone, around those doors. One panel is easy enough to keep secure, but many? You did mention exhibit at owner's own risk.

I would definately like to exhibit, and I plan to leave whatever it is I've yet to come up with to the auction. Forgive me if this is specified somewhere but, what are the acceptable measurements? I take it there are maximum measurements- or not...

Hi Indre, Because we have limited space, the maximum width is 24" and the total overall size must be within 400 square inches. How exciting that you're making a piece, and one we can all bid on! Best, Mary

Thanks Mary for the information and the supportive words :)
I think an exhibition is an excellent idea. It will be quite a fantastic addition to this year's conference I don't doubt

This was posted about a month ago, and am repeating for those who may not have read it.

AT THIS POINT THERE ARE ABOUT 8 AGG MEMBERS WHO HAVE AGREED TO EXHIBIT, AND THE SPACE CAN EASILY ACCOMODATE AT LEAST 8-10 MORE....SO PLEASE CONSIDER PARTICIPATING....WE ARE INVOLVED IN A VISUAL ART!

Hi Barbara,
I would also like to show a piece at the 2008 conference if there is still space.
Will this be in addition to the one I donate for the Auction?

The AGG member exhibit at the Philadelphia conference has several additional people agreeing to display a panel - in alpha order - Roy Coomber, Kathy Jordon and Hallie Monroe. There will be room for at least another 6-8 panels. Please consider bringing (remember it can't be shipped) a panel for display. Let me know of your interest or any questions. bek4450@aol.com

Barbara,
I would love to exhibit something. I can also display with a light box if necessary, but of course, natural light would be my preference.
