We're just three days away from our Third Annual Conference and everything is falling nicely into place.

At the conference we will be having the following four panel discussions: "State of the Art" (Judith Schaechter (Mod)(
houseofrats@comcast.net), discussing working as an artist with Joseph Cavalieri, Ginger Ferrell, and Tom Krepcio), "In Conversation" (Debora Coombs (Mod)(dcoombs@sover.net), interviewing Charlie Lawrence and Nick Parrendo on their long careers in glass), "Training and Labor Issues" (Don Samick (Mod)(LAMBSTUDIOS@optonline.net), with Carol Heidshuster, Art Femenella, Juith Van Wie), and "The Proof is in the Putting - Putting it all Down for Posterity" (Vic Rothman (Mod)(vrforst@gmail.com), discussing documentation issues with Roberto Rosa, E. Scott Taylor, Drew Anderson).

We invite everyone to write the four moderators with possible questions for their panels. What questions would you like answered? While we can't guarantee we'll have time for all your questions, we'll do the best we can.

Thank you and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone!

Mary,
Regarding Debora's interview with Charlie Lawrence, I know that he has done quite a bit of work as an independent artist working with large studios, primarily Willet. I think it would be interesting to get an insight into the process of how independent artists deal with studios and clients. This may also apply Judith's panel.
I'm so excited about the Conference! We are on track to break our previous attendance records, as quite a few are still registering.
Maria
