STAINED GLASS: RADIANT ART - author Dr. Virginia Raguin; $20 plus shipping; 105 pages of text; 75 color photos; all windows from Getty Museum in Los Angeles; 6 in by 9 inch format.

CHAPTER HEADINGS
Materials and Techniques
Architectural Function of Stained Glass
Artists and Patrons
Collecting Stained Glass
Challenges of Restoration and Display

The small size of the book makes it easy to carry around. I used it as a teaching tool last week, and 2 wanted to purchase one immediately. This is one of the few books which discusses that all glass touted as "medieval" probalby is not, as least not entirely.....due to repairs, repainting, infilling with newer painted glass, etc. Many antique dealers were unaware of the multitude of changes and didn't know how to identify replacement glass.....makes for interesting reading!!
