LARRY ZGODA EXHIBIT AT
CHICAGO MOSAIC SCHOOL
ARCHETYPE & INVENTION
LARRY ZGODA of Chicago will exhibit 40 new works in stained glass, mosaic and architectural ornament at the Chicago Mosaic School during the months of August and September, 2008. ZGODA’S original stained glass compositions include many innovative material applications. Some of the works shown will be of his architonomous art glass series, freestanding, stained glass sculpture inspired by architecture.
Sharing the venue is JOHN HATLESTAD of Grayslake, IL, with furniture and sculpture. HATLESTAD utilizes spectacular patterns in wood, metal and unexpected found objects to positive effect in furniture, lighting and other objects for the environment.
The Chicago Mosaic School is located at 1800 W. Cuyler, 2nd Floor, on Chicago’s north side. A gala reception will be held on the evening of September 5th with the artists present. Works will be up from August 16th through September 30th, 2008. This is the first multi-discipline show to be held in the school’s gallery space.
