International glass artists from around the world gathered to celebrate our unique glassmaking heritage and the sparkling emergence of a rapidly developing, exciting young studio glassmaking scene with the exciting 'British Glass Biennale' which, this year, offered TWO £5000 prizes for: "The Best of Show" and the collaborative 'Made Together' Award.
From workshops and demonstrations with visiting international artists right through a packed programme of lectures, entertainment, hilarious street entertainers and fascinating glass-related events through to heritage and local interest activities as well as tasty food and drink, the second festival delivered a packed programme to fascinate and entertain everyone, young and old alike.
Workshops will be held during the week commencing 18th August 2008 with the Festival taking place from Friday 21st to Monday 25th.
