Most of you knew Vicki as the lovely wife of Joseph 2bears. It is with the utmost sadness that I have to let you know that Vicki lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 10. Vicki was my angel. She came into my life 23 years ago in my hour of greatest need and profoundly changed me for the better. She was my greatest supporter, and my greatest critic. She was also an artist and did all of the glass etching that went into my work, and that she did on her own. Vicki slipped away peacefully and quietly at home with me and our daughter, Vanessa by her side. Her last words to me were, "I love you". Vicki and I were married for 21-1/2 wonderful years. I am thankful for every day I had with her.
There will be a visitation and rosary Friday evening, January 13, 4-8pm at Gamby's Mortuary, 25001 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita, CA 90717. Funeral services will be at St Margaret Mary Church in Lomita on Saturday, January 14, at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Green Hills Cemetery in Rancho Palos Verdes.
At this very difficult time there is only one thing I would ask of my friends. Go to the ones in your life that you love, hug them and tell them that you love them. Life is just too short for anything else. If you have unresolved differences, make peace. Support cancer research to find a cure if you feel a need to do anything more.
I love you, Sweetheart. Until we are together again,
--Joseph 2bears

Joseph:
I am profoundly sorry for your great loss. Vicki was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed my experiences with the both of you at the AGG functions. She has gone to a better place, a place that you will see her in again. I will make a donation to cancer research in her name. Thank you for thinking of the rest of us in your hour of need.
Best,
Art Femenella

I'm so sorry for your loss. Vicki was always smiling and radiant. Her last words to you are so fitting and say so much about her and the deep love she had for you.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers through this most difficult time.

Joseph, Our sincere sympathy and condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. We lost our Dad at Thanksgiving and found this sentiment, written by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross fitting, which we modified a bit for his memory card which I would like to share with you and yours...
People are like stained glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out.
But when the darkness sets in, their true inner beauty is revealed
by their inner light that shines forth from within.
Your message to love and hug those near and dear to you - make peace with others is well advised and heart felt. Thank you for thinking of all of us during this very difficult time for you.

My condolences Joseph, I know you only through our love of glass but I offer my sympathy at this time. In the words of a buddhist teaching, " sometimes the storm takes even the green leaves from the tree".

Vicki was a wonderful woman and I'll never forget her smile and friendliness. She will be missed by all, and although no words can really help to ease your loss Joseph, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
My deepest condolences.

Joseph, The first thing I think of when I think of Vicki ( and when I think of you) is a warm, rich smile. At this time when memories are deep and poignant, but smiles are hardly possible, please remember that the love and support of all your AGG friends is present with you. We hope to have you in our presence again. And we celebrate all that Vicki brought to you and to glass art. I value your dedication to your work and your enthusuastic curiosity. Sincerely,
Ardra

I'm sorry for your loss.
Over the years I have lost a number of family and friends to cancer. The only consolation is that their suffering is finally over and they are at peace.
I wish you well
Vic

I am so sorry for your and Vanessa's loss, Joseph.
I am honored to have known both you and Vicki, and witnessed your positive approach to this horrible time in your lives. Thank you so much for letting me come to her last birthday party. I will never forget it. And I agree with you. Vicki was an angel. Now she is hanging out with them while she waits for you. Too bad you will have to hang out with us.
Call, or email, me any time of day or night. Big Hug!
