“The Illuminated Print,” a course in leaded glass, printmaking and hot and cold glass by Paula Stokes, Pilchuck Glass School, May 20-31, 2013. Apply online at http://www.pilchuck.com.
Exciting imagery, generated with the dynamic use of line, color, and composition in drawing and prints, will be transformed by illumination in leaded glass panels. Students may have opportunities to create and include hot-glass elements for a different graphic quality and to create surface texture using coldworking processes. Visiting artists will share their perspectives and discussions will focus on collaboration between designers and makers. Students may complete one leaded panel, a small portfolio of prints, and a sketchbook of ideas.
