I was reading the AGG By-Laws and I noticed the following;
ARTICLE IX. NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
Section 2. Nominating Process
“At a time two months or more in advance of the General Meeting, the names of the nominees, and a statement, for office will be published to the membership by the Nominating Committee through the website of the AGG.”
I was wondering when will the names of the new nominees be published and at what time will there be the opportunity to make nominations from the floor?

At our last board meeting, the directors of the AGG voted to increase the number of directors on the board from 9 to 11. The following four directors have one more year in their two year term:
Artrhur Femenella, Mary Clerkin Higgins, Barbara Krueger and Cindy Williams. All have agreed to continue on the board.
There are 9 nominees for the 7 positions that will be open as of the Conference in Buffalo. The foloowing four nominees are past directors:
Tod Beall, Vic Rothman, John Raynal and Maria Serpentino.
The 5 nominees selected by the nominating committe cahired by Judith Scheachter are:
Kathy Jordan, Sister Diane Couture, Joan DiStefano, Tom Krepcio and Rebecca Hartman Baker
We are currently working with the nominees and Kathleen Hepburn, the webmaaster, to get bios and election statements from each nominee onto the website.

My apologies and in no way to dash your hopes David, but I cut and pasted a list that was misspelled to say the least Sister Diane Couture would be more correct.

The nine nominees are listed below and they will be posted in the near future to the website. There is no provision for nominees from the floor in our bylaws.

Thank you for posting the information.
There is a provision for nominees from the floor as stated in section 2.
Section 2. Nominating Process
From the slate of nominated Directors and from any nomination from the floor, the Membership-at-large will elect the new Directors by voting for a number of Directors equal to or less than the number of Director positions to be filled. The nominees that secure the most votes will fill the open positions.
